Synopsis[]
The collection, "The Shadow Chronicles," includes eight of The Shadow Radio Show programs. Also included is an audio documentary, "The Shadow: The Making of a Legend", a lavishly illustrated history of the program. Anthony Tollin wrote the 56-page booklet and narrated the audio documentary which includes program excerpts and interviews with Orson Welles, Bill Johnstone, John Archer, Bret Morrison, Walter B. Gibson, pulp editor John Nanovic and the last surviving broadcast featuring an interview with Gertrude Warner. There are also sound snippets of Margot Stevenson, Ken Roberts, Ted Mallie, Barney Beck, Dick Osgood and radio-writer Sidney Slon.
