History
Professor Solarus, the strange inventor, who called himself, the Space Master, used his famous Microstat Chamber to reduce himself to doll size, along with a crew of desperate criminals and their two prisoners; Margo Lane and Valda Rune. He forced his captives into his miniaturized rocket ship and piloted it to the planet Venus in order to escape capture on Earth.
The Shadow found a second model rocket at Solarus' home, reduced himself by pulling a lever on the Microstat Chamber, and then quickly blasted off into space to rescue the two women.
His heroic efforts paid off. On Venus, he saved the women from being drowned in "liquid air." Later on, he stole the Venusian's Protectosphere, which helped launch the rocket ship back to Earth with the rescued prisoners.
Unfortunately, Professor Solarus and his henchmen were captured and put inside a strong-box by the planet's ruler Suven. However, Solarus did return to fight The Shadow one last time.
