• To date, this is the final Shadow novel featuring Kent Allard before the character would be drastically "modernized." It is sadly, Walter B. Gibson's last Shadow book.

• Gibson would write two more Shadow short stories: the first being, "The Riddle of the Rangoon Ruby," published in The Shadow Scrapbook and his last one titled, "Blackmail Bay," which was published in The Duende History of the Shadow Magazine.
