This is the Benedict Stark disambiguation page.

Shadow Magazine Vol 1 196.jpg

Benedict Stark was a genius of crime and one of the most evil master-criminals The Shadow had ever fought. Though others labeled him "The Prince of Evil," he actually called himself Mr. Remorse.

During his first confrontation with The Shadow, Stark successfully kidnapped agent, Rutledge Mann. Even after Mann's rescue, Stark brazenly kidnapped him a second time along with four other agents.

Besides the criminals behind the "Crime, Insured" racket, Stark, and his henchman, were the only other adversaries to unmask the identity of The Shadow and fully disrupt the vigilante's secret organization.

Benedict Stark was created by Theodore Tinsley, first appearing in Shadow Magazine #196 (1940).
