Alex Ross is an American comic book writer and artist who is best known for his cover paintings which depict comic book characters as realistic people. For the first issue of Dynamite Entertainment's Shadow series he personally sketched 200 different "Dynamite Authentix," retailer incentive covers. He continues to paint covers for the series. He also painted the interior art for the first issue of Dynamite's pulp crossover, Masks.
